Sue - Owner & Skin Therapist
Sue is the owner of Pure Essence Beauty and has spent her career doing what she loves — helping people feel confident in their skin.
Previously the owner of Sue Shields Spa in Carnforth, Sue later moved to Australia, where she lived for six years, before returning home and creating Pure Essence Beauty.
With a particular passion for advanced skincare, Sue is constantly learning, attending specialist training and beauty shows, and researching the latest treatments and technology. She believes in honest advice, no hard sell and finding what genuinely works for each client.
When she’s not in the salon, Sue loves getting out into the Lakes, hiking with Bella, her Patterdale, and planning her next trip!

Claire – Senior Beauty Therapist
Claire has been part of the Pure Essence team for many years and specialises in facials and massage. She loves making clients feel good, whether that’s helping them completely switch off with a massage, giving them healthy, glowing skin or simply having a good laugh together.
Caring, friendly and a little bit quirky, Claire brings plenty of personality to the salon.
Outside work, she loves walking her dog, trips to Glasgow, a glass of wine and the occasional spa day!

Jodie – Senior Beauty Therapist
Jodie is an experienced Beauty Therapist with a real passion for facials and achieving great results for her clients. Fully qualified across all areas of beauty, she has continued to develop her skills with advanced facial training and is particularly known for her CACI treatments and gel nails.
Friendly, chatty and professional, Jodie loves meeting people, making clients feel good and continuing to learn new treatments.
Outside the salon, she loves spending time with her two children, discovering new places, eating out with friends and family, festivals and a good city break!

Jo – Beauty Therapist
Jo is the newest member of the Pure Essence team, bringing with her many years of experience in the beauty industry.
After taking time away from beauty to raise her two children, Jo has returned to the industry she loves. She offers massage, reflexology and nail treatments, and her fun, bubbly and warm personality has already made her a great addition to the salon.
Jo loves making clients feel welcome, relaxed and completely at ease from the moment they meet her.

Rebecca – Senior Beauty Therapist
Rebecca is an experienced Beauty Therapist with a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty and further training in aromatherapy, reflexology and nails. Her favourite treatments are facials, reflexology and nails, and she loves helping clients look and feel their best.
Friendly, caring and down-to-earth, Rebecca says the best compliment after a relaxing treatment is a snoring client, although she’s just as happy having a good chat!
After spending three years living in Australia, Rebecca returned to the Pure Essence team. Outside work, she loves travelling, family time, walking her dog, Blackburn Rovers and a nice bottle of wine.

Kayleigh – Beauty Therapist
Kayleigh has worked in beauty since leaving school and loves the variety that being a Beauty Therapist brings. She enjoys all aspects of her work, with massage being a particular favourite.
Friendly and approachable, Kayleigh loves helping clients switch off, relax and enjoy some time for themselves.
Outside the salon, she loves walking her dogs, woodland walks, travelling, live shows and music.
